Support
We are a small team. Write to us and we will help.
Email: hello@fivebite.app. We reply within 2 business days, usually sooner.
It helps if you tell us what happened, what you expected, which iPhone you have, and the app version. You can find the version in the app under Me, in the Help section. Please do not send card numbers or passwords. You do not need to send health details either.
Fivebite is a diary, not medical advice. Check with your clinician before making medical decisions. We cannot answer medical questions by email. If you think it's an emergency, call 911.
Cancel your subscription
Fivebite Plus is billed by Apple, so you cancel it with Apple. It takes about a minute.
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name at the top.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap Fivebite, then Cancel Subscription, and confirm.
You can also get there from the app: Me → Subscription → Manage subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or Apple may charge the next period. After you cancel, you keep Fivebite Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Then the app goes back to the free diary. Your entries stay.
Deleting the app, or deleting your Fivebite account, does not cancel the subscription. Only the steps above do.
Restore your purchases
Use this if you paid for Fivebite Plus but the app shows the free diary, for example after reinstalling the app or changing phones.
1. Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account (Apple ID) that bought the subscription.
2. In the app, open Me → Subscription.
3. Tap Restore purchases.
The same button is on the Fivebite Plus screen. If the app says it found nothing to restore, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Check that the subscription is active and which Apple Account it belongs to. Still stuck? Email us.
A problem with a charge, or a refund
Apple takes the payment for Fivebite Plus. We never see your card, and we cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves. Apple decides on refunds under its own rules.
1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
2. Choose Request a refund, pick the reason, and tap Next.
3. Select the Fivebite charge and submit.
If you see a charge you do not recognize, check iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions first. A subscription renews automatically until it is cancelled, and a family member may have bought it.
Bought the $9 7-Day Plan on our website before 22 September 2026 (it is no longer sold)? That one we refund ourselves, if you ask within 30 days of buying it. See the Refund Policy.
Delete your account and all data
You can delete everything yourself, inside the app. If you have Fivebite Plus, cancel it first (see above), because deleting your account does not cancel it.
1. Open Me → Account.
2. Tap Delete account and all data.
3. Read the note about your subscription and tap Continue.
4. Confirm with Delete account and all data. If you signed in with Apple, Apple will ask you to confirm it's you.
Your diary, your account, your app events and your purchase record at our subscription service are deleted right away. Our policy promise is within 30 days at the latest. It cannot be undone.
Two things to know:
- Entries that Fivebite saved to Apple Health stay in the Health app, because they are yours. To remove them, open the Health app, tap your picture at the top, then Apps, then Fivebite.
- Deleting the app from your iPhone does not delete your account or your diary. Use the steps above first.
No longer have the app? If you still have the same iPhone, install Fivebite again and open it. Your diary comes back, and you can follow the steps above. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can do this on any iPhone: tap I already use Fivebite on the first screen, sign in, then follow the steps above.
You can also email hello@fivebite.app and ask us to delete your data. Accounts are anonymous, so we will ask a few questions to find the right one. If we cannot match an account to you, we will tell you, and help you delete it from the app instead.
Move to a new iPhone
Your diary moves with Sign in with Apple. Fivebite does not get your name or your email from Apple.
On your old iPhone
1. Open Fivebite while you are connected to the internet, so everything you logged is saved.
2. Open Me → Account and tap Sign in with Apple.
On your new iPhone
1. Install Fivebite from the App Store.
2. On the first screen, tap I already use Fivebite.
3. Sign in with the same Apple Account. Your diary and Fivebite Plus come back.
If Fivebite Plus does not show up, tap Restore purchases in Me → Subscription.
Reminders and Apple Health start switched off on a new phone. Turn them on again under Me → Reminders (tap Turn on reminders) and Me → Apple Health (tap Connect Apple Health).
If you never signed in with Apple and no longer have the old phone, the diary may not come along, even if you set up the new phone from a backup. Without Sign in with Apple the diary is not linked to you, so we usually cannot move it for you. Your subscription is safe: Restore purchases brings it back, because Apple knows it's yours.
Turn AI features off
The AI tools are optional. You can switch each one off at any time.
1. Open Me → Privacy.
2. Switch off AI food help, AI weekly review, or both.
From then on, the app sends nothing to the AI provider, Anthropic, for that feature. You can still add food from the food list, from My foods, with Same as yesterday, or by typing the protein yourself. Your week is still shown in numbers. You can switch a feature back on in the same place.
What was already sent is deleted by Anthropic within 30 days, or kept longer only if it was flagged for a misuse review, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Apple Health connection
With your permission, Fivebite reads your weight from Apple Health and saves the weight and water you log to Apple Health. What it reads stays on your iPhone.
- To connect: open Me → Apple Health and tap Connect Apple Health. Your iPhone shows a list of switches. Turn on the ones you want and tap Allow. If you do not see Connect Apple Health, your iPhone has already asked you once. Use the Health app instead, as described next.
- To change or disconnect: open the Health app, tap your picture at the top, then Apps, then Fivebite. Turn the switches on or off there.
If your weight from Apple Health does not show in Fivebite, check those switches. For your privacy, your iPhone does not tell the app whether reading was allowed, so the app cannot show a warning itself.
Reminders not arriving
- In the app, open Me → Reminders and check that the reminders you want are switched on.
- If the app says it can't send reminders yet, tap Turn on reminders and allow them.
- If the app says reminders are turned off in iPhone Settings, tap Turn on in Settings. Or open iPhone Settings → Notifications → Fivebite and turn on Allow Notifications.
- Check that a Focus such as Do Not Disturb or Sleep is not on, and that Fivebite is not held back in a Scheduled Summary (iPhone Settings → Notifications).
- Fivebite stays quiet between your bedtime and your wake-up time. Check the times under Me → My plan → Your day. The one exception is your shot or pill reminder, which comes at the time you chose.
- Bite reminders come with Fivebite Plus. The evening check-in, water and shot or pill reminders are free. Water reminders are off until you switch them on.
- In this version, water reminders come at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and the evening check-in comes 2½ hours before your bedtime. These times cannot be changed yet.
- After traveling to another time zone, or after restoring your iPhone, open Fivebite once so it can set your reminders again.
Reminders never show a medication name or a symptom on your lock screen. That is on purpose.
Reminders are a convenience. Your iPhone can delay or silence them, so please do not rely on Fivebite as your only reminder to take a medication.
The 7-Day Plan from our website
Lost the links to your plan? Go to fivebite.app/my, enter the email address you paid with, and we send the links again. Refunds for the plan are in the Refund Policy.
A medical question or an emergency
Fivebite is a diary, not medical advice. It does not diagnose anything, it does not interpret your symptoms, and it does not calculate, convert or suggest medication doses. No one at Fivebite watches your entries. For questions about your health or your medication, contact your clinician or pharmacist. The app has a page called When to call your clinician under Me → Help. It is general information, the same for everyone.
If you think it's an emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis or have thoughts of hurting yourself, call or text 988.
